About Cactyra: how it started and why we chose C++
Cactyra wasn’t born from trend-following or mass appeal. It was built by two engineers who work with code every day. We didn’t aim to create something loud or universal. Instead, we focused on a single language — C++ — and built a space for focused, in-depth learning.

Our method grew out of real-world challenges. One of us works on systems that process millions of operations per second. The other develops software for devices where memory is scarce and reliability is essential. After encountering countless subtleties in C++, we realized many people learn too shallowly. That’s where the need arose: to offer material differently — clearly, progressively, with an engineer’s mindset.

We don’t provide templates. We show how code behaves, where issues appear, and how to reason through them. Our courses aren’t theory for theory’s sake — they reflect problem-solving shaped by real experience.
